We lost Diane on November 4, 2023 to pancreatic cancer.

When Diane (mother-in-law) was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer it was stage 4, she passed nine days after being diagnosed.   Diane’s grandmother, mom and aunt all passed of this horrible disease, three generations back to back.

At this time we knew very little about this deadly cancer that usually goes undetectable until it’s too late. The five-year survival rate for pancreatic cancer patients increased from 7% to 13%.  There is an urgent need to improve survival even more.  But this increase shows that progress is being made. 

Our team, Diane’s Purple Roses is participating in PanCan PurpleStride walk/run that funds life-changing programs and services for pancreatic cancer patients and families.
