On April 27, 2024 we are taking steps at the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer, PanCAN PurpleStride. PurpleStride participants raise money to fund vital research that can bring new treatment options to patients; free, personalized, one-to-one support through PanCAN Patient Services; and more...

We created this team in honor of our irreplaceable mother, Marien Oddi Canale, who gained her wings last April (04/08/2023). We think about her every day and although things may "get easier" as time goes by, it will never feel fair. 

Knowing the heartbreak we endured throughout our mom's battle and still to this day, we want to do everything we can to limit that same pain for other people suffering from Pancreatic Cancer. Although it has gained some publicity in the media do to celebrities falling ill (Patrick Swayze, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Alex Trebek... just to name a few), Pancreatic Cancer awareness still needs to improve! The survival rate is only at 12% and symptoms are often overlooked or vague. Pancreatic Cancer is most often terminal at diagnosis, usually leaving our loved ones with only 6 months or less to live.
