Hello Friends,

Some of you may know me personally.  If not, we will all get to know each other soon.  We are all taking steps to end pancreatic cancer at PanCAN PurpleStride on Saturday, April 29, 2023.

I am involved with PanCan because of personal experience with the organization.  In 2019, my mother, a breast cancer survivor of more than 20 years, was diagnosed with Stage IV Pancreatic Cancer.  While we all knew the odds of survival were slim to none, PanCan provided was there very step of the way.  They sent us information for the oncologist, recommended tests to conduct, and even provided helpful daily living advice for my mother in her final days, advice to make those days more dignified as normal as possible.  

We want to make the biggest impact on the lives of pancreatic cancer patients – and we need your help to do that!

PanCAN PurpleStride is the number one way PanCAN raises money to fund vital research that can bring new treatment options to patients, and gives them free, personalized one-to-one support through PanCAN Patient Services.

I have only set a $500 goal, which is very attainable.  Whether you know someone who was affected by Pancreatic Cancer or not, this disease does not discriminate.  There are no races, religions, skin colors, etc that are more or less susceptible to contracting this particular cancer.  Aretha Franklin, Alex Trebek, and Luciano Pavarotti  were all victims of this horrible disease.

We’ve set a modest fundraising goal.  The more money we raise, the bigger impact we make – and would appreciate a gift of any size to help us get there.  

Patients and families need PanCan now more than ever.
