Welcome to Our PanCAN PurpleStride Team Fundraising Page!

Stephanie and I will be walking to help raise funds for pancreatic research on 4/27/2024 in the PanCan PurpleStride Walk. We'll be lacing up our walking shoes and hitting the pavement in honor of my godfather, Costa. He was not only a devoted father, husband, uncle, son, and sibling, but also a selfless person and always thought of others until he finally succumbed to the disease.

One moment that will remain etched in my memories was towards the end of his fight. My father and I went over to visit him, a week or so after my birthday. And, he had a gift for me... A bag of candy. An insignificant gift at any other time in someone's life. But, in light of his own intense struggle at that moment, it spoke volumes about his enduring care and selflessness. It brought a smile to our faces and warmth to both our hearts. Looking back, 25 years later, it reminds me of the strength of his spirit even in the face of adversity. Little did I know, it was the last time I’d see him.

This moment serves as a reminder of Costa's unwavering compassion and generosity. Join us as we walk to honor his memory and contribute to pancreatic cancer research, taking steps towards a future where others won't have to endure the pain he faced.
