Hello All, 

For those of you that don't know, I was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in December of 2021! Such a shock. After "beating" breast cancer in 2013, I wasn't ready for another fight, especially one with such dismal stats. 

After surgery and chemotherapy during 2022, I now have no evidence of disease. I realize I am lucky that I was able to have surgery . . . most are not. I was able to tolerate the chemo and now I feel well.  

I have been reticent to share my story because retelling it or sharing statistics is frightening, but I know other cancers have more funding for research, other cancers have double, triple, quadrupal survival rates. Not this cancer. At this time, there is a 12% 5-year survival rate for those diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.
