Cheers to the The Purple Pals!

My name is Sarah Kruczynski, and I'm the team captain for The Purple Pals. When I was 27 years old, I was diagnosed with a rare pancreatic tumor that was luckily caught in the precancerous stage. I immediately had an open distal pancreatectomy and splenectomy at Mass General in Boston, MA to remove it and have been as good as new ever since. The trauma and fear that come along with a pancreatic cancer scare, especially at such a young age, are indescribable. I hope by bringing my support system, friends and family along with me to PurpleStride this year, we can continue to spread the word about the signs and symptoms of pancreatic cancer while also raising money for a cure.
