When Mama first lost her hair during Chemo/Radiation for her pancreatic cancer… she, like any, was devastated. So much of our identity, especially as women, is tied to our hair. 

One day we were talking about it, we tried to make light and laugh about it as best we could… since that’s what we did about anything, even the tough stuff…… I assured her she looked cute with her little fuzzy white hair growing in…. As cute as a little qtip! 

 This nickname ended up sticking and becoming a term of endearment in her journey. She told everyone her new nickname. She turned it around and was empowered by her hair instead, and I couldn’t be prouder of her. 

I couldn’t think of a better team name then The Q-Tips! <3  For Lottie
