Welcome to our team fundraising page!

On November 8, 2014, my dad, Rick De La Torre, was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer. He passed away from this awful disease just 22 months later on September 11, 2016.


Our first PurpleStride was in 2015 and this year marks the 10th year that our team honors my dad by raising money to ultimately find a cure for this deadly cancer. Our team is raising money in support of the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network by participating in PurpleStride.


You are invited to join our team, Kiss My PancreAss, and stride in person with us near Auraria Campus. Alternatively, you can make a donation to our team, and help support efforts to increase the survival rate for this deadly disease. Ten years ago, the 5-year survival rate was 5%; today it is 12% thanks to fundraising and creating awareness!

About PanCAN PurpleStride

Local action. Nationwide impact. This is PanCAN PurpleStride, the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer.

On Saturday, April 27, 2024, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.

PurpleStride is PanCAN's signature community celebration, raising money to fight pancreatic cancer on all fronts — through research, clinical initiatives, patient services, advocacy and nationwide volunteer support. Learn more.
