When my husband Robert was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, the five-year survival rate was only 6%. Robert lived to see that survival rate double, but sadly lost his courageous 9-year battle with pancreatic cancer in April 2023, just a couple weeks before PurpleStride 2023.  That year, Team Duran Duran had our biggest turnout ever and we were honored as the top fundraising team in San Diego.  I know how much that would have meant to Robert, and we want to continue his legacy of raising funds for pancreatic cancer research to find more effective treatments and improve outcomes for pancreatic cancer patients and their families.

Local action. Nationwide impact. This is PanCAN PurpleStride, the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer.

On Saturday, April 27, 2024, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.

PurpleStride is PanCAN's signature community celebration, raising money to fight pancreatic cancer on all fronts — through research, clinical initiatives, patient services, advocacy and nationwide volunteer support. Learn more.
