On December 28, 2018 we received the news that nobody ever wants to imagine hearing. My dad was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer.  Our world completely turned upside down as nobody ever imagines this happening to their family. The immediate news brought us to our knees. So many emotions were going through our heads, but we knew that we had to put on our armor and fight this fight together. My dad underwent countless chemo treatments, radiation, hospital stays, blood transfusions. My dad fought a long and hard fight. He fought for almost 4 years. My sweet daddy never gave up and he shared his story with so many people all across the world. I started PawPaw strong so that we could share our story and encourage others who are going through similar trials. On December 8th, 2022, my sweet and courageous dad entered heavens gates. He fought the good fight and is now being rewarded in heaven. Our hearts are broken and we may never understand on this side of heaven, but God is good and he will direct us as we strive to live out his legacy. I pray that someday soon, we can find a cure, to not only pancreatic cancer, but to all cancer.
