Team SUR5IVOR+ is raising money to support PanCAN by participating in PurpleStride in honor of Pancreatic Cancer Survivor Larry Novicky and Pancreatic Cancer Fighter Nelida Koppius.​

In September 2018, Larry was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and started treatment for this horrible disease. This year marks a milestone to celebrate—6 years—since he began the battle, and he is winning! In 2024, Larry is cancer free! Surviving pancreatic cancer is a miracle that defies the odds, and few patients and their loved ones are blessed with this outcome. 

Nelida was diagnosed in February of 2024 and is currently in treatment. While treatment has come a long way, more research needs to be done in early diagnosis and treatment of pancreatic cancer.
