For nearly 40 years, Michael Landon appeared in our homes on the small screen, entertaining generation after generation. One of his most notable roles, of course, was that of Pa from “Little House on the Prairie.”

Sadly, in 1991, after a short battle with pancreatic cancer, Michael passed away.

You can join Michael’s family, friends, and castmates and be part of Team Little House to take steps to end pancreatic cancer by doing what you like from wherever you are! You can walk in your neighborhood, a local park, or choose an activity that brings you joy.

The money you raise supports vital programs like PanCAN Patient Services, which provides free, personalized resources and information to those affected, and funds critical research to make progress against the disease.

When Michael was diagnosed, research on the disease was scarce. There were only a handful of researchers in the field; the survival rate was less than 4%; resources for patients were nonexistent; the public knew next to nothing about the disease and there was little hope.

Michael brought pancreatic cancer to the forefront. And since his passing, progress against the disease has been made. The five-year survival rate has more than tripled to 13%, the research landscape is stronger, and patients have places like PanCAN to turn to for resources and support.
