Welcome to our team fundraising page!

In 2023, our family faced numerous challenges. In May, we tragically lost my beloved sister, and in October, my oldest sister began experiencing health issues. I vividly remember the day she called to share the devastating news that she might have cancer. It felt like my world was crumbling around me, and the fear of losing another loved one was unbearable. Cancer is a terrifying ordeal, akin to a death sentence, and we were plunged into a realm of uncertainty and fear.

My sister underwent a Whipple procedure in January, followed by chemotherapy starting in February. When her pathology results came back, she was diagnosed with Stage 2-3 Pancreatic Cancer. Despite the successful removal of the cancer by Dr. Zureikat, it had spread to 13 lymph nodes. She began a series of 12 chemotherapy sessions, with a scan scheduled for May to monitor her progress. Each session has brought a glimmer of hope as her cancer numbers steadily decreased, and we eagerly await the day she can ring the bell signifying the end of her treatment!

Throughout this journey, we encountered incredible support from everyone we met, particularly the medical professionals who guided us through this challenging time. I am immensely grateful to them for saving my sister; they are true heroes.
