Why are we fundraising and walking for Pancreatic cancer?

​In July 2022 my sister, Paula was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer. After months of treatments, in March 2023, she went through the pain of the Whipple procedure. She was deemed cancer free, until Nov. 2023. She was told the cancer had returned, she will now have to endure Chemo every 2 weeks for the rest of her life. She is fighting hard and staying strong, it is our prayer that a cure will be discovered before her cancer wins.

Our team, Paula Doesn't Fight Alone, wants to make the biggest impact on the lives of pancreatic cancer patients – and we need you to do it!

We’re taking steps at the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer, PanCAN PurpleStride, on Saturday, April 27, 2024.

PurpleStride participants raise money to fund vital research that can bring new treatment options to patients; free, personalized, one-to-one support through PanCAN Patient Services; and more.
