Welcome to Our PanCAN PurpleStride Team Fundraising Page!

In May of 2023, Laurie was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer which she bravely fought every second until her passing in January 2024. 

Laurie is a mom, aunt, sister, grandma, and wife that loved fiercely and wholeheartedly. She had a smile that could light up a room and the world’s biggest heart. Laurie was and still is a shining light in all of our lives. 

With that being said - we have decided to walk with PanCan in their PurpleStride walk on April 27, 2024. The goal of this walk is to raise money for research for new treatments and offer patients with pancreatic cancer support through the PanCan network. 

Pancreatic cancer is often caught in the very late stages of the progression and, when it is caught in the late stages, is very hard to treat. Our goal as a family is to raise awareness and money so no other family has to face what we did. 

We want to make an impact on the lives of current and future pancreatic cancer patients.
