Pancreatic cancer first entered my life when my Uncle Kim was diagnosed in April 2020. After a whirlwind of world changes going on at the time, we focused on the memory of his compassionate spirit and joy for life. 

Three years later, pancreatic cancer entered the picture again. My mom, Diane, was diagnosed with an early stage of pancreatic cancer in August 2023, the same week we welcomed the birth of our second child. Almost 9 months later, her battle continues alongside our milestones of life.

Within the busyness that life often brings, we forget to mention the struggles and focus on the good. The PanCAN PurpleStride walk on April 27, 2024 is an opportunity for us to share the impacts of pancreatic cancer. Whether you choose to donate, send prayers, reach out, or show up, we hope to connect in this journey, as we take steps at the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer.
