Last year I was challenged with a diagnosis of pancreatic cancer - one of the deadliest forms of cancer - with a 5-year survival rate of 13%. Fortunately for me, thanks to my amazing medical teams at Cedars Sinai and Stanford, the support of you, my wonderful family and “community,” and incredible advances in treatments, I am now cancer free!
I'm now asking you again to help others achieve similar successes in the future.
On Saturday, April 27, I will be participating in the PanCAN PurpleStride to end pancreatic cancer as team “Lavender Haze.” (What are the odds I would get the cancer represented by the color purple?!?!?) I hope you will consider joining my team by making a tax-deductible donation and/or walking or running with us, Team Lavender Haze, on April 27 in Santa Monica. Just click the Register button at the top of this page to get started. Or you can use this link: https://secure.pancan.org/site/TR/PurpleStride/PurpleStride?team_id=53415&pg=team&fr_id=2803.
Register for free. If you donate at least $50 you’ll receive an official PanCAN PurpleStride 2024 T-shirt. Woohoo! For this first year I'm setting my goal of $12,000, but it would be fitting, and I would love, to reach $18,000 - Chai!
A gift of any amount will help patients and families facing a pancreatic cancer diagnosis and months of chemo, radiation, and surgery, as I did last year. Let’s help them survive and thrive!
Thank you for your love and support,
Love,
Elisa
(P.S. "Honoring Elisa - A Walk For Pancreatic Cancer" is a different team.)
