Our team wants to make the biggest impact on the lives of pancreatic cancer patients – and we need you to do it!

We’re taking steps at the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer, PanCAN PurpleStride, on Saturday, April 26, 2025.

In late 2020, we lost a husband, father and grandfather, Jim Harrison, to pancreatic cancer.  He was diagnosed in March of 2020 and fought valiantly, but sadly the disease moved too rapidly.  It took him too fast and too soon.  Then in 2023, our close family friend, Mark, was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer as well.  As is with pancreatic cancer, it spread and attacked very quickly and while he fought equally hard, he lost his battle after 10 months, an eerily similar timeframe to Jim’s battle.

Pancreatic cancer is one of the toughest cancers to fight, in that it’s hard to detect and by the time you do detect it, it’s almost already too late.  

This year, we are participating in the PurpleStride Minnesota 2025 event to walk to help find better treatments and one day maybe a cure to pancreatic cancer! Please consider donating whatever you are able to for this cause.  After watching Jim and Mark go through this, we don’t ever want to see another person or family suffer from this terrible disease. 

PurpleStride participants raise money to fund vital research that can bring new treatment options to patients; free, personalized, one-to-one support through PanCAN Patient Services; and more.
