Hello Friends!
Have you ever heard about the PanCAN Purple Stride? The Stride that is Purple, the one that is happening across the United States in support of patients and their families who are enduring a pancreatic cancer diagnosis?
No? WELL! This walk is so purple, and it features so many steps, it just couldn't be any better. I mean, the walk is just steps, and strides, and pure locomotion, you could walk for days. It is so important, and so impactful, that the steps feel effortless. It's almost like you're striding for a cure. You could walk all around the Pittsburgh area, and with each footfall you could inspire hope for so many people who need help navigating the steps that THEY have to take to beat this cancer crap. This walk could just be the greatest thing to ever happen to man's best friend.. Have you heard about the Shaggy dog? WELL! Luke would tell you all about that Shaggy dog, but I'm here to talk about the Purple Stride.
Team Purple Feet for Pancreata! is raising funds in honor of one of the best people to have breathed the air. Our comedic relief, our brother, our friend, our confidante, our planner, our shoulder to cry on, and Meaghan's husband, Luke Over. Where ever he is, he's not appreciating her butchery of that attempt at his favorite shaggy dog joke...
What we ask is simple - please donate any amount to our team goal. Every cent that is contributed goes to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. They have an extensive team of caring individuals that work to provide funding for research, clinical trials, and, most importantly to me, patient support. Their advocates are there in times when patients and their families have questions and need help. Their work is SO important! From genetic tumor testing to peer counseling, they have a helping hand to lend to everyone.
On April 26th, 2025, We walk for Luke, and we walk for everyone else's family member who is facing what he did. Our love for him is never ending, and now it extends to the ones that these funds may help to save. Please give, or spread the word, until we can whip this awful cancer out of the picture!
