Welcome to Our PanCAN PurpleStride Team Fundraising Page!

My team and I are taking steps to end pancreatic cancer at PanCAN PurpleStride on Saturday, April 26, 2025. We hope you'll be able to walk with us at Schenley Plaza in Oakland (opening ceremony starts at 10am)- as always, it's FREE to register for the walk. 

First and foremost, THANK YOU all for supporting my dad and family through his journey with pancreatic cancer. So many of you have been with us from the start, and we sincerely appreciate your support in all forms- the outpouring of love and check-in messages, prayers, understanding as we navigate the healthcare system and daily life, donations to pave the way for better treatments and quality of life, and the list goes on. As you know, the past 8 months have been extremely challenging and heartbreaking with recurrence, hospitalization, and multiple treatment plans. He recently started targeted therapy (first FDA approved in 2022; made possible through recent advances in the field) and we really need all the prayers you can muster up at this time.  I am continually impressed by my dad's strength and resiliency through these difficult times; I'm so proud of him for his perseverance, but wish he (and everyone else walking this path) didn't have to fight this fight- he continues to be our superhero. 

There's also not a day that goes by that I don't think of my sweet coworker (Rosie) who passed away this summer after a short battle with this disease; Mia's sweet classmate also just lost his grandma to this disease after a few short months;  to think that I didn't know anything about pancreatic cancer a few short years ago....Now that it has unfortunately found my family and friends, we know that there's SO much more work to do, and we need and appreciate your help and support in getting there. We've directly witnessed the important work of PanCAN in so many ways- your donations truly go a long way.
