Hi all, This is my 15th year of walking to fight pancreatic cancer. I've shared the story about my mom and dad both being diagnosed. Unfortunately, this year, we added my brother Anthony (Tony) to that list. He has undergone the Whipple surgery and is now receiving chemo. We are hopeful for a good prognosis as it was caught early! The stats still remain the same, According to Johns Hopkins " the combined five-year survival rate for pancreatic cancer — the percentage of all patients who are living five years after diagnosis — is 12 percent." This remains dismal but it's slowly inched up from 7% when we started the walk. Reseach is CRITICAL and the funds raised from our Walk help in this endeavor. We REFUSE to QUIT. Please join us with a donation or walking with us Saturday, April 26th.
