For those that don't know Josh's story, his "journey" began in February of 2023 when he experienced abdominal pain.  At that time, he was diagnosed with pancreatitis.  Also at that time, they noticed a small something on his pancreas and we were told Josh should follow up with a scan a few months later.  2 days before that scan was scheduled Josh started experiencing other symptoms that precipitated another ER visit and it was during this hospital stay that they discovered the something on his pancreas had grown and they were concerned it was cancer.  A biopsy was performed and in May of 2023, Josh was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer at the age of 44.  A short 2 1/2 weeks later, Josh started 7 months of intense chemotherapy, followed by 3 weeks of even more intense chemo/radiation.  And on March 4th, 2024, Josh underwent a Whipple where his spleen, gallbladder, part of his stomach and small intestines along with his whole pancreas was removed.  He is now a little over a year post recover and scans done at the end of January still show no reoccurence of this horrible disease.  We appreciate the support we have received over the past 2 years and are now looking to make sure we can do our part to help raise money to treat this cancer.  We were fortunate to have caught his cancer early but not everyone is as lucky and more research is needed to catch this disease earlier and give more people a chance to live longer lives.  Please consider donating and walking with us on April 26th.
