Welcome to team Marvin's Mensches!
Moments Matter
I had countless memorable moments with my Dad. Celebrating family milestones and Jewish holidays, trips Downtown on the Rapid on Black Friday, visits to NASA, walking a full marathon in Phoenix, hearing jokes and lots of stories. I only wish there could have been many more moments.
My Dad
Marvin Warshay was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in July, 2015. After a courageous, 2 year battle, he passed away on July 11, 2017. My Dad was an amazingly kind, loving, intelligent and positive person. And funny—boy was he funny! I remember him with love, and often with laughter, every day. I am participating in PurpleStride Cleveland in his memory and in honor of all the fighters out there.
The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (pancan.org)
attacks pancreatic cancer on all fronts: research, clinical initiatives, patient services and advocacy in an effort to increase the 5-year survival rate from 10%. 20 years ago it was only 5% Just recently, it reached 13%, so we are making progress--but not enough!
Clevelanders--you are invited
to join my team--Marvin's Mensches--and walk/run 1 mile with us on Saturday, April 27th at the Zoo. If you live in another city and would like to participate, check purplestride.org for your city's event details.
