Dear Friends and Family,

2025 marks the 12th year that Team Poppy is supporting Purple Stride and 11 years since we lost our grandfather. 

Team Poppy honors our grandfather, Albert D. Maslia, who passed away in April of 2014, and raises money in support of the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. With the support of so many, over the past 12 years, Team Poppy has raised $100K towards the fight against pancreatic cancer, and we’re already off to a great start for 2025. In fact, we have a Team Poppy team in NYC for the second year!  Thank you to those who have supported us over the years. 

We raised $12,033 in 2024. For 2025, we hope to surpass 2024 and have set a goal of to raise $12,500+ to honor our Poppy and to support a great cause. With everyone's help and support, we can continue to further the amazing strides already made in pancreatic cancer research. So, we hope you will consider helping our team reach our 2025 goal.

About PanCAN PurpleStride

Local action. Nationwide impact. This is PanCAN PurpleStride, the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer.

On Saturday, April 26, 2025, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.

PurpleStride is PanCAN's signature community celebration, raising money to fight pancreatic cancer on all fronts — through research, clinical initiatives, patient services, advocacy and nationwide volunteer support. Learn more.
