Welcome to our team fundraising page!

My mother, Jackie, was the most selfless, kind person. Whether it was a monetary donation or time spent, my mom loved to give back. Having been a lung cancer survivor herself, she was especially passionate about cancer-based organizations. 

​​In April of 2012, my mom was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. By September 26, 2012, she had unfortunately lost her battle, passing away just a few weeks shy of her 58th birthday. ​


As November is Pancreatic Cancer Awareness month, I decided to create a team to walk in the spring in my mom, Jackie's honor. I called the team, Jackie's Jokesters. For those lucky enough to know Jackie, you know that humor made up most of her personality. Even in her last days, she was known to make jokes, even at her own expense. 

Whether it is a donation of money or time, every effort matters. Every effort makes a difference and I'm grateful for yours.

About PanCAN PurpleStride

Local action. Nationwide impact. This is PanCAN PurpleStride, the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer.

On Saturday, April 26, 2025, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.

PurpleStride is PanCAN's signature community celebration, raising money to fight pancreatic cancer on all fronts — through research, clinical initiatives, patient services, advocacy and nationwide volunteer support. Learn more.
