Teresa found the PurpleStride fundraiser after her diagnosis in early Fall 2016. She was told that the cancer had been developing for years and she wished that one day we would live in a world where early detection gave everyone a fighting chance against pancreatic cancer.

The day before the event, Teresa lost her battle with cancer only 60 days after her diagnosis. She couldn't join Team Tree at PurpleStride in person, but her love and vision inspired us to keep striding strong. So we continue to join together in her honor every year.

Since we started, Team Tree has raised over $15,000 for Pancreatic Cancer research and support services! 2025, we’re stepping it up with a new goal of $10,000.
