Welcome to our team fundraising page!

Pancreatic cancer has the lowest survival rate of all major cancers, at just 10%. This deadly disease has stolen our best and our brightest, but it can’t take away our determination.

Our team has stepped up to Wage Hope at PurpleStride, the walk to end pancreatic cancer. Will you help us rewrite the future of this disease by making a donation today?

Every dollar that you donate ensures that the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network can continue working to create better outcomes for pancreatic cancer patients and their families. By donating to our team, you are supporting vital efforts to double pancreatic cancer survival by 2020.

Purple ribbons aren’t enough. Please join us in the fight today.

***Heidi was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer on July 18, 2018 which metastasized to her liver.  She started chemo immediately which was later followed by immunotherapy trials.  Heidi's intestinal stent failed in April 2022, puncturing her intestines.  She had to stop chemo and immunotherapy immediately. Her cancer grew very quickly. She started home hospice May 2022.  We lost Heidi on July 23, 2022.  4 years and 5 days post official cancer diagnoses.

*** Kristine was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer on December 10, 2021.  After successful chemo treatments for quite some time, Kris passed away just 20 months after diagnosis on August 20th, 2023.

Kris and Heidi are paternal cousins.  Kris lost her mom Sandy Penman to colon cancer in 1970.
