Join Us to Walk for Hope, Love, and a Cure


This year, we're walking in honor of the most incredible woman we’ve ever known—our mom. If you ever met her, you’d know why we’re making this big of a deal out of her life and her fight. She was the kind of person who could light up a room just by walking in, always cracking a joke or offering a hug just when you needed it.

Even when she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, she never lost her spark. She was a fighter—a warrior—with a smile that made you believe anything was possible. She approached every challenge with grace, humor, and her signature positivity.

When treatments got tough, she was still herself. Laughing before a treatment, dancing her way through the radiation doors, and making everyone she came in contact with smile. That was her. Always looking for the bright side, always making us laugh even in the hardest moments.

On November 14, 2024, at 9:25 AM, our mom took her final breath, surrounded by love and the family she adored. While her fight here is over, her spirit and her determination to see a world without pancreatic cancer live on in us.

Local action. Nationwide impact. This is PanCAN PurpleStride, the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer.

On Saturday, April 26, 2025, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.

PurpleStride is PanCAN's signature community celebration, raising money to fight pancreatic cancer on all fronts — through research, clinical initiatives, patient services, advocacy and nationwide volunteer support. Learn more.
