A year and a half ago, we lost my mom to pancreatic cancer. She fought with everything she had—for her family, for more time—but in the end, it wasn’t enough. Her journey was painful, filled with moments no one should ever have to endure.

The trauma of watching someone you love suffer through cancer is something only those who’ve been through it can truly understand. It leaves a lasting mark. Our family still feels that emptiness every single day—a void that nothing can ever fully fill.

We don’t want others to face the same heartbreak. We’re committed to making a difference, to supporting those in the fight now, and to helping create a future where fewer families have to experience this kind of loss.

We’re taking steps at the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer, PanCAN PurpleStride, on Saturday, April 26, 2025.

PurpleStride participants raise money to fund vital research that can bring new treatment options to patients; free, personalized, one-to-one support through PanCAN Patient Services; and more.
