Wehri's Warriors: Walking in Honor of Jim Wehri


On April 26th, our team, Wehri's Warriors, will walk in the PurpleStride event in Minneapolis to raise awareness and support for pancreatic cancer research. We are walking in honor of our beloved family member, Jim Wehri, who was diagnosed with terminal pancreatic cancer.


Jim has always been a source of strength, wisdom, and love for our family. His courage in the face of this devastating illness inspires us every day. By participating in PurpleStride, we aim to carry on his legacy of resilience and bring hope to others affected by pancreatic cancer.


Together, we stand united—walking for Jim, for a cure, and for all those who are fighting this battle. Thank you for your support and for helping us make a difference.

Local action. Nationwide impact. This is PanCAN PurpleStride, the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer.

On Saturday, April 26, 2025, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.

PurpleStride is PanCAN's signature community celebration, raising money to fight pancreatic cancer on all fronts — through research, clinical initiatives, patient services, advocacy and nationwide volunteer support. Learn more.
