Welcome to "Prep for Melissa's" PanCAN PurpleStride Team Fundraising Page!

Hello, there!

My team and I are taking steps to end pancreatic cancer at PanCAN PurpleStride on Saturday, April 26, 2025 in honor of our beautiful friend and colleague, Melissa Monaco.  We lost Melissa on November 12, 2022 after a brief battle with this horrific disease.   Pancreatic cancer is very aggressive and often develops with few warning signs.  Melissa, never even knew her diagnosis, as it came only days before she succumbed to organ failure in the ICU.  

The picture we are posting of Melissa this year was taken by her twin sister, Pamela on their last birthday celebration together and this was less than 3 months before Melissa passed. Please help us in the fight for pancreatic cancer in memory and honor of Melissa, our forever Angel.

Local action. Nationwide impact. This is PanCAN PurpleStride, the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer.

On Saturday, April 26, 2025, at nearly 60 events across the country, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers and supporters will join together and walk to honor everyone affected by the disease.

PurpleStride is PanCAN's signature community celebration, raising money to fight pancreatic cancer on all fronts — through research, clinical initiatives, patient services, advocacy and nationwide volunteer support. Learn more.
