Greetings,
In November 2018, Sue was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Despite the odds, she faced her diagnosis with strength and grace. After undergoing a Whipple Procedure, multiple rounds of chemotherapy, and radiation, Sue continued to live life to the fullest for five incredible years. She worked, camped, and cherished every moment with loved ones. Her spirit remained unbroken as she used her experience to help others, offering support to fellow cancer patients and becoming a source of hope.
Sue’s unwavering belief in the power of community led her to create Friends Never Walk Alone, a team dedicated to supporting PanCAN (the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network). This organization is committed to raising funds for research, clinical trials, and patient support services.
In honor of Sue, my team and I will be walking at PanCAN PurpleStride on Saturday, April 26, 2025. We are raising money to fund vital research and to offer patients the personalized support they desperately need. Our mission is simple: to ensure that no one fighting pancreatic cancer has to do it alone.
We’ve set an ambitious fundraising goal, and we need your help to reach it. Every contribution, no matter how small, brings us one step closer to finding a cure. PanCAN’s PurpleStride event is the leading fundraiser for this cause, and your donation directly supports research and patient services that can change lives.
If you are able, I invite you to join our team and participate in this year’s walk. Simply click the Register button above to sign up. Anyone who registers and raises $50 will receive an official PanCAN PurpleStride 2024 T-shirt as a token of our appreciation for your support.
Together, we can create lasting change and ensure that pancreatic cancer patients don't just survive – but thrive. Sue's legacy of compassion and strength lives on through this cause. Let’s honor her memory by making a difference.
Thank you for your support, and we hope to see you at the walk!
With gratitude,
Jeff
