As you know, our beloved Joe Sims lost his life to pancreatic cancer. He had been walking 5 miles a day just prior to his stage 4 diagnosis. We lost him in just 9 weeks, leaving a gaping hole in our lives. 

My team and I are taking steps to end pancreatic cancer at PanCAN PurpleStride on Saturday, April 26, 2025.

We want to make the biggest impact on the lives of pancreatic cancer patients – and we need your help to do that!

Here are the sobering facts about pancreatic cancer:

·       Pancreatic cancer is the world's toughest cancer, with a five-year survival rate of 13%, the lowest of all major cancers.

·       It's expected to become the second leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the U.S. by 2030, currently ranking third.

·       One in 59 people will be diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in their lifetime, amounting to more than 67,000 Americans this year. Tragically, most, like Joe, won't live a year post-diagnosis.

·       Approximately 51,980 Americans will die from pancreatic cancer this year, underscoring the urgent need for research and support.
