We’re taking steps at the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer, PanCAN PurpleStride, on Saturday, April 26, 2025, in memory of Viola Tucker Crump who lost her battle in 2008.

Vi was a loving sister, wife, mother, grandmother and aunt who enjoyed spending time with her family. She liked to watch The Young and the Restless and game shows on tv, going to flea markets, collecting Raggedy Ann and Andy items, and playing bingo and cards - which she was probably cheating at.

After she retired, she like to travel by RV, especially to somewhere warm in the winter; but she did not like going through the mountains. She didn't really like to fly either but would get on a plane if it was going to Las Vegas with her sisters and daughters. There she would stay up all night playing slots and inevitably walk into the men's restroom on accident. 

She is missed every day. 

As PurpleStride participants, we are trying to raise money to help fund vital research that can bring new treatment options to patients; free, personalized, one-to-one support through PanCAN Patient Services; and more.
