Welcome to my PanCAN PurpleStride Team Fundraising Team Page, "KURT'S KINDRED SPIRITS"!
Hi! My name is Lynn Carey Saylor. I lost my beloved and special brother, Kurt, to stage 4 pancreatic cancer at 11:11am on July 12, 2022 after a heroic one-year battle with this hideously cruel and deceptively sneaky disease. He had just turned 50-years-old 6 weeks earlier. During that year the Pancan organization was incredibly supportive and helpful to us with resources and support. I will be forever grateful to them. Even though my brother can sadly no longer benefit from all that Pancan does, I want to show my gratitude by helping to raise some funds for their annual fundraiser so I can "pay it forward" to others in need of the kind of help my brother received.
This organization operates solely on donations, so I'm doing my part by taking steps at the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer, PanCAN PurpleStride, on Saturday, April 26, 2025.
PurpleStride participants raise money to fund vital research that can bring new treatment options to patients; free, personalized, one-to-one support through PanCAN Patient Services; and more.
Here’s where you come in!
I've set a fundraising goal of $1,000 and currently we are about half way there! The more money we raise, the bigger impact we make – and I would be profoundly grateful for your donation. A gift of any size will help patients and families facing a pancreatic cancer diagnosis.
Want to help in a bigger way? I’d love for you to join my team! Just click the Register button at the top of this page to get started. Register for free, raise $50 and you’ll receive an official PanCAN PurpleStride 2025 T-shirt!
Let’s show everyone impacted by pancreatic cancer that we’re fighting for them – thank you so much for your support! And as an extra thank you from me, you'll receive a new, unreleased song of mine shortly after the walk for any donation made to my personal page.
With Much Appreciation!
Lynn Carey Saylor
