Welcome to Our PanCAN PurpleStride Team Fundraising Page!

We are walking in PanCAN Purple Stride this year to raise money in honor of Nancy who passed away in December 2023 after courageously fighting stage 4 pancreatic cancer for 18 months. Nancy was incredibly strong and brave, and she never complained, even on her worst days. She selflessly loved others and was always there for her friends and family, often putting others before herself. 

Nancy was diagnosed in April 2022 when tumors were found in her lungs on an incidental heart scan that led to a CT scan that showed tumors in her pancreas, liver, spleen, and spine. She had no symptoms, much like most who are diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, which is why it is often diagnosed in stage 4 after it has spread. 

We participated in PanCAN PurpleStride in 2023, and it was something my mom really wanted to do. She was passionate about raising money to help further research and treatments not only for herself but for others, and she loved the idea of giving back.  We would give anything to have her here, but we hope to make a difference in the lives of others in her honor.

Our team wants to make the biggest impact on the lives of pancreatic cancer patients – and we need you to do it!

We’re taking steps at the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer, PanCAN PurpleStride, on Saturday, April 26, 2025.

PurpleStride participants raise money to fund vital research that can bring new treatment options to patients; free, personalized, one-to-one support through PanCAN Patient Services; and more.
