Thank you for supporting my PanCAN PurpleStride fundraiser!

Sometimes you meet people and you don’t know how they will impact your life. I met Mrs. Trudy Wilbur when I became an AP at Durant and quickly became my GO TO person, but more importantly I looked forward to seeing her smile and hearing her sass every morning and afternoon! She is reliable, helpful, caring and full of fire! 

When she went to the hospital for pain and received a pancreatic cancer diagnosis it hit everyone like a ton of bricks. But who was at the bus ramp 3 days later telling us how she was going to fight it and making US all feel better? Ms. Trudy!

This walk is nothing compared to what we would give to take cancer away from her and anyone else with the diagnosis. We can’t so we will do this for her!

We’re taking steps at the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer, PanCAN PurpleStride, on Saturday, April 26, 2025.

PurpleStride participants raise money to fund vital research that can bring new treatment options to patients; free, personalized, one-to-one support through PanCAN Patient Services; and more.

Here’s where you come in! I’ve set an ambitious fundraising goal and need your donations! A gift of any size will help patients and families facing a pancreatic cancer diagnosis.
