Dean was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in March of 2022 and ended his long hard battle at age 57. He loved sports, working on his trucks, hunting, and spending time at the cabin with his family. Oddly enough Dean also loved to walk. My family and I thought this would be the perfect way to honor my late father, while raising awareness for pancreatic cancer.

We’re taking steps at the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer, PanCAN PurpleStride, on Saturday, April 26, 2025.

PurpleStride participants raise money to fund vital research that can bring new treatment options to patients; free, personalized, one-to-one support through PanCAN Patient Services; and more.
