We walk for Lauretta, our mom, friend, and daughter. She was suddenly diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in December 2023 after little to no symptoms. She was getting ready for an intestinal transplant when the tumor was found. Although it felt like the six months after her diagnosis was consumed with treatments and other challenges, she was much more than her diagnosis. She was the sweetest woman with the warmest soul. She brightened the lives of everyone around her. She always loved a sweet treat at the end of the day, and that did not stop after her diagnosis. So we walk in her honor and everyone affected by this disease.

We’re taking steps at the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer, PanCAN PurpleStride, on Saturday, April 26, 2025.

PurpleStride participants raise money to fund vital research that can bring new treatment options to patients; free, personalized, one-to-one support through PanCAN Patient Services; and more.
