"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD our God will be with you wherever you go." Joshua 1:9

These words, specifically "strong and courageous," describe my mother perfectly. As most know, we lost our mother on February 22, 2019 to Pancreatic Cancer. She was diagnosed in November of 2016, and the words in Joshua 1:9 were the catalyst to her valiant fight of this disease. Throughout her battle, a day did not go by that she did not meet it head on with strength and courage. Her faith that our Lord was walking beside her each step of the way made her journey one of dignity, grace and hope. It was only appropriate that she named her team, Joshua 1:9. It is in her honor and legacy that I am proud to continue what she started with Team Joshua 1:9, and that is, her commitment to help find a cure for Pancreatic Cancer. In honor of our mother, we invite you to join Team Joshua 1:9, as we walk or run to support this cause. Every team member and dollar helps!! The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network organization helped Mom in many ways and it is her wish that we continue her journey so that they may give that same assistance and support to other fighters and their families. Melinda Hause was a warrior for 840 days, wont you join us for one day?
