Team Ipsen Philly

Raised: $10,500

Goal: $15,000

Welcome to our team fundraising page!

Our team has stepped up to Wage Hope at PurpleStride, the walk to end pancreatic cancer. Will you help us rewrite the future of this disease by making a donation today? Also, consider joining my team, Team Ipsen Philly, and walking/running the 5k with all of the friends, families, and survivors in Philly!

This year we are walking to honor the blessed memory of Bill Klein, David Picker, and Martin Glasser.

Bill Klein is a member of our Ufberg extended family. He passed away age 77 last March 2018 after a 4-month battle with pancreatic cancer.  Bill was a beloved father, grandfather, friend and mentor to many. As a practicing lawyer and accountant, he was a trusted counselor to both his friends and clients. A collegiate squash and accomplished tennis player, art lover and techie, Bill was a true renaissance man. Bill’s memory is carried on by is adoring wife Margie, children Jodi and Michael and 5 grandchildren.

Marty Glasser was one of my closest friend’s father. Marty was a Harvard educated, successful practicing attorney in West Virginia for 45 years. He was survived by a wife of 50 years, three children and nine grandchildren. Marty visited Philly often where his daughter and her family live. He chose to move to Philly to receive treatment from the University of Pennsylvania Abramson Cancer Center. After a valiant 9-month battle, Marty sadly passed away August 16, 2015.

David Picker 74, of Conshohocken, PA, died Thursday, March 26, 2019. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Janice; sons, Jonathan (Tabetha) and Alex (Erica); grandchildren: Ariel, Evan, Hayden, Demi, and Tiran; and siblings, Millicent Chud and Lawrence (Susan). Alex is a member of Team Ipsen Philly and continues to be the top fundraiser

We will stride and raise money and awareness together in their names in hopes that we will help prevent senseless losses due to this disease in the future. Every dollar that you give ensures that the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network can continue working to improve outcomes for pancreatic cancer patients and their families. By donating today, you are supporting vital efforts to double pancreatic cancer survival by 2020.

Purple ribbons aren’t enough. Please join us in the fight today.
