In 2022, UW-River Falls Falcon Volleyball started the Falcon Fight Night, a home game dedicated to cause greater than just the game. 

Pancreatic Cancer has touched the lives of members in our Volleyball Program. On October 4th, the Falcon Volleyball teams plays for Jenny Schlenker. Jenny was a true volleyball fan, loving the moments of watching her daughter Ada play in high school and club. One of her dreams was to see Ada play for a collegiate program and we are honored that she accepted her place in the Falcon family.

A Message from Ada Schlenker (Daughter of Jenny):

My mom has instilled so many life lessons to my siblings and it is hard to pick just some to highlight. She was a woman of so many wonderful qualities that I idolize and strive to obtain. My mom was a middle school teacher for 30 plus years and after her passing I heard from so many past students and parents sharing stories of the long lasting impact she still has on their lives today. She was so comforting to everyone whether they needed words of encouragement, a warm hug, or just a shoulder to cry on, my mom was there for them. She truly lived life to the fullest and always put others before herself. I speak for my siblings when I say that we have all grown to never take anything for granted and to truly live for not only ourselves, but for our mom. 

Having Falcon Fight Night dedicated to my mom means so much to not only me, but my whole family. My mom is the reason I am playing college volleyball today. She was my biggest cheerleader and I am so grateful that everyone gets to see a little glimpse of how amazing she truly was. I just know that she is watching over us with a big smile on her face.
