Welcome to Lloyd's PanCAN PurpleStride Team Fundraising Page!

We’re taking steps at the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer, PanCAN PurpleStride, on Saturday, April 26, 2025.

PurpleStride participants raise money to fund vital research that can bring new treatment options to patients; free, personalized, one-to-one support through PanCAN Patient Services; and more.

So, why? Why Lloyd's Team? Who is Lloyd???? Lloyd was my dad and during my junior year at Mississippi State University, my family learned that Lloyd had pancreatic cancer and was given six months to live. But, what do doctors know? Lloyd would fight for over a year from this prognosis giving our family time to spend with him, which is much more than a lot of families get. Lloyd passed away on Halloween of 2015 (eerie) and our family began the process of funeral arrangements and navigating a new "normal."

What has stuck with me almost ten years later is the amount of help and support that people gave us during the year long fight against pancreatic cancer and during the months and years after Lloyd passed. I now want to raise money and give back to an organization that can give similar support and care to families that are experiencing exactly what our family went through. During the fight with your loved one against cancer, the smallest support feels like everything, so please join me in donating to kick pancreatic cancer's ass if you are able.

Thanks!
