PurpleStride This Saturday! Team Meeting Details Below!

Dear Team,

PurpleStride is just two days away this Saturday, April 26th! We're in the final stretch, and the excitement is building as we prepare to walk together for such an important cause.

Thank you again to everyone who has already joined our UT Southwestern Pancreatic Cancer Team, fundraised tirelessly, and helped amplify our message. Your dedication is truly inspiring.

Here are some important details as we approach the event:

• Team Meeting Point & Time: We will be meeting as a team at the UT Southwestern booth at 7:45am before the walk officially begins. This will be a great opportunity to connect, take a team photo (will take at 7:50am), and coordinate before we step off.

• Event Location: Fair Park- Court of Honor (1300 The Midway,Dallas, TX 75210)

• Parking: Parking is located in lots 5B, 5A, and 6A. Survivor/VIP parking location in lot 4B. Parking is free for vehicles arriving before 8am. Vehicles arriving after 8am will be subject to a parking fee of $10 per vehicle.

• ​Event Schedule:
• Event village opens: 7am
• UTSW team photo: 7:50am
• Opening ceremony: 8am
• Walk begins: 8:30am
• Event concludes: 10:30am

• Route: PurpleStride is a walk event. The full route is 2.48 miles. Please note that there is not a designated "short course" option, but if walkers want to return to the Event Village after going around the Esplanade Fountain at the start of the route, they can do that. Please follow posted signage and staff/volunteer instructions at all times.

• Pets: Due to safety and liability reasons, pets are not allowed at Pancreatic Cancer Action Network events. Service animals are welcome.

• Shirt Pick-up: If you need to pick up your event shirt, please pick up at the main t-shirt tent.
