My beautiful Mom (The Biscotti Queen) passed away on August 28, 2019, after being sick for a number of weeks. At the time of her death, she hadn't even been definitively diagnosed with metastatic pancreatic cancer yet. She didn't know she was fighting this disease. Six weeks prior, we celebrated my Mom and Dad's 50th wedding anniversary with a big party, and the following month, we were saying goodbye to her. She had only vague symptoms and was taken quickly. We were in shock and completely blindsided. She was loved by all her friends and family, known for her laugh and love, and I miss her every day. She was my best friend.
I’ve stepped up to Wage Hope at PurpleStride, the walk to end pancreatic cancer. Will you help me rewrite the future of this disease by making a donation today?
More than 66,000 Americans will be diagnosed with pancreatic cancer this year. Pancreatic cancer symptoms are not always obvious and usually develop over time. There is no standard test to diagnose pancreatic cancer. Most patients are diagnosed at later stages and by that time, it is too late.
Every dollar that you give ensures that the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network can continue working to improve outcomes for pancreatic cancer patients and their families.
Purple ribbons aren’t enough. Please join me in the fight today.
