Welcome to our team fundraising page!

My husband, Robert, was an active man who ate healthy and coached his children's hockey and soccer teams and played in an adult hockey league.
Imagine our shock when he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer after many months of weird symptoms and many tests. The survival rate in 2006 was a mere 5%.   He underwent chemo, radiation and the Whipple procedure but finding a way to get involved was in the back of his mind.  He researched organizations that were dedicated to the treatment of pancreatic cancer.  The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network was the only non-profit that was focused solely on pancreatic cancer.  While still undergoing surgeries and chemo, Robert decided to create TEAM ARNONE in Philly PurpleStride to raise funds for treatments, diagnostic tools and some day a cure.  (We were actually called ARNONE TEAM but it got changed after Robert's death.  And the first walk was called Wage Hope, I think.)  Robert's journey was a grueling one that, with his death,  has created a void in our family.  He is remembered every day and we honor his memory by continuing that which he started. Not only are the members of TEAM ARNONE involved with the 5K walk, we have attended Advocacy Day in Washington, DC, we have volunteered at Hockey Kicks Cancer Night, we have participated in educational meetings and we have hosted countless fundraisers. In 2025 the pancreatic cancer survival rate is 13%.  That's not enough!   Please join us in April and/or donate to one of our team members.  No amount is too small.  Thank you from our hearts!
