On February 1, 2025, we lost our beloved Gus — known to many as Big Gus, Gussie, Auggie, Big G, Uncle G, Uncle Gus, and Poppie — after a brief but fierce battle with pancreatic cancer. Our family experienced firsthand the relentlessness of this disease, and we are determined to fight back. By supporting PanCAN and participating in PurpleStride, we join the effort to end pancreatic cancer, bring hope to those living with it, and stand with the families who love and support them.

No one loved life more than Gus. He didn’t just live it — he left his mark on it. He filled it with joy, laughter, and unforgettable moments. Gus left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him, and now, by coming together as his family in his honor, we carry forward that legacy. Through our strides, his impact will continue — spreading awareness, fueling hope, and helping move us closer to a world without pancreatic cancer.
