We are proud to take steps to end pancreatic cancer at PanCANs biggest community event of the year, PanCAN PurpleStride!
As family members of someone who fought Pancreatic Cancer twice with power and determination, we hope to help fundraise to raise education, awareness and money towards the increased need for research. Pancreatic cancer is very difficult to diagnose due to subtle symptoms and lack of universal screening test currently available. Our dad was lucky enough for his cancer to be found on accident, and because of it we got six extra years with him. While six years is a blessing, we were hoping for a lifetime. With increased donations and funding a large impact can be made for current and future patients diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer. We are raising money in hopes that families like ours can hold on to their loved ones a little longer than we did.
PurpleStride is an inspiring event for anyone who has been affected by pancreatic cancer and wants to ensure vital research continues and free resources are made available to all who need them.
To make the biggest difference, I've set an ambitious fundraising goal and I need your help - will you donate to my PurpleStride fundraiser?
We would also love anyone who knew and loved our dad to join us on April 25th and run alongside us in his memory! He would think we're crazy, and is definitely up there laughing at the thought of us running a 5k, but it's all the more reason we are doing it; for him, for our family, and for everyone who has experienced a loss too big for words.
Again, thank you for supporting us and everyone affected by pancreatic cancer. In memory of Joel, we hope to raise money for the entire pancreatic cancer community. We are grateful for you and your support!
