This “rare” disease has touched far too many of our loved ones, and we are fighting to CRUSH PANCREATIC CANCER!!
I am striding for my mom — an incredible fighter who battled Stage 4 pancreatic cancer for 8 years. We are heartbroken to be striding this year without her. We lost her in September, and her absence only strengthens our resolve to fight harder than ever for a better future for everyone facing this devastating disease. We stride in loving memory of our mom, Emil Garlewicz, Susan Mautone, Marie Farraye, Jean Czerniecki, Yvonne Beatrice, Gregory Beresovsky, and Jimmy Santaniello — all lost much too suddenly and much too soon. Each of them holds a special place in our hearts, and their memories will stay with us forever.
While we are deeply grateful for the advances that gave us eight precious years with our mom, we cannot stand by and watch as more families face this diagnosis every single day. We say a special prayer for the hands, minds, and hearts of every doctor, nurse, and caretaker; for every scientist working tirelessly to bring more hope and better treatments; and for organizations like PanCAN that guide and support patients through the most overwhelming moments of their lives.
Thank you to each of you who has generously supported this cause over the years. Our team is determined to make an impact on the lives of pancreatic cancer patients, and we are truly grateful for every one of you.
PurpleStride participants raise funds that fuel vital research to develop new treatment options, provide free one-on-one personalized support through PanCAN Patient Services, and so much more.
We’ve set an ambitious fundraising goal — because the more we raise, the greater the impact we can make — and we would be profoundly grateful for your donation. A gift of any size will help patients and families facing a pancreatic cancer diagnosis.
Let’s show every person impacted by pancreatic cancer that we are fighting for them. Thank you for your support.
