Welcome to Team Big Poppa!!
Tony Caliguire was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in December of 2022, and sadly passed away in January of 2024. We miss him terribly but aim to keep his memory alive by moving forward and embracing the values of compassion, service, kindness, generosity, and hospitality he embodied. Whether you were meeting him in a boardroom or at his family's dinner table for a Sunday meal you could always expect a warm smile, sincerity, and a laugh from an (occasionally dirty) joke.
Incredible progress has been made in the last few years regarding pancreatic cancer research. Thanks to the amazing researchers; patients and their families are getting more precious time together. With the treatment Tony received he was able to spend almost every day of his 13 final months following his diagnosis with his family.
Donations to organizations like PanCAN are more important than ever as funding for cancer research from the federal government has faced severe budget cuts.
Over the past 3 years, our team of family and friends has raised over $70,000 to support cancer research! This year we hope to surpass $100,000. how can YOU help? You can join our team. You can donate to on of our team members. You can repost our team or PanCAN's content. Thank you for keeping Tony's memory alive and working toward improved treatment and outcomes for pancreatic cancer patients.
